Job Purpose:              

“To be responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the Product Data Management Team for the Lane Crawford Joyce Group, to be at the forefront of Global retail trends and to ensure Product & Data team achieve excellence and full integration to the Group”


Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:



Product & Data Management (40%)

  • To build and effectively manage the Product and Data team
  • To design and maintain Product & Data Guideline including Glossary, Standards and procedures
  • To collaboratively design a new workflow for the company detailing data management process and entry
  • To regularly communicate and maintain close working relationship with all internal departments, store teams and outsourced vendors.
  • To design and arrange trainings for the business users for new and/or refresh work processes, policies and procedures.
  • To actively ensure best practice for new data process, constantly connected to new products, trends and any changes on terminology globally
  • To work closely with Tech dept and Consultants on the interfacing of the new system
  • To be directly responsible for a portion of data for entry


Communication (40%)

  • To build strong internal communications and facilitate an open working relationship amongst all departments to ensure that Product & Data Management team are fully integrated
  • To create a Guidebook for all business users, with regular updates, to effectively communicate Product Guidelines
  • Ensure work processes, policies and procedures are properly communicated internally.
  • To create and arrange trainings for the business users for new and/or refresh work processes, policies and procedures.
  • Implementation of operational efficiencies using ijam as a tool
  • Building business policies and cases using ijam
  • Contribute and promote future ijam community engagement initiatives
  • To achieve collaboration between teams/depts through effective communication including ijam


Tenant Leadership & Development (20%)

  • To role model and reinforce the Lane Crawford Vision and Values and Customer Service Promise at all times
  • To reinforce the LC heritage, Brand DNA and culture - storytelling and sharing success at every opportunity
  • To provide the necessary leadership, coaching and guidance to your team to ensure commitment to achieve the Department/BU plan and Individual Objectives
  • To personally demonstrate the LC Leadership Competency behaviours and use these competencies as a tool to coach and develop team members
  • To fully participate in the PDP process, developing knowledge and understanding of team member strengths and development opportunities using Talent Profiles and IDP’s
  • To partner with HR/Talent to identify Departmental Talent Pipeline using the full suite of Talent Tools, supporting individuals with relevant learning and development opportunities to ensure success in current and future roles
  • To build a personal connection with each team member, taking time to understand them as individuals and identify ways to motivate, retain and engage
  • To take appropriate corrective action with staff who fall below standard (in consultation with HR Department)
