Job Purpose: 

“To ensure that Lanecrawford.com and .cn are well stocked and merchandised aesthetically to optimize product visibility. Assist in merchandise management to facilitate online store needs while achieving the goal of becoming completely Omni-Channel. Make sure all product information presented is accurate and in-line with the company’s vision by supporting editorial initiatives and marketing activities.”

 

Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Product/Merchandise Management

Products:

  • To merchandise the sites and ensure the visual aesthetic is in line with the company vision
  • To work with relevant teams regarding site-wide product placement, considering overall presentation and visibility of products in relation to seasonal OTB and key investment / push brands, in order to drive sales
  • To assist in maximizing the effectiveness of  stories and marketing initiative shop tabs
  • To oversee the selection of products for marketing collateral requirement, such as e-mail campaigns.  Oversee the selection of all products
  • To analyze traffic and sales with Trading team to develop product recommendation strategies to increase sales and conversion
  • To provide product knowledge when necessary for CS and the Product Copywriters
  • To ensure our site search database encompasses all product related keywords (including brands and categories) 
     

Trading:

  • To work with the Trading team to analyze the online business and recommend actionable strategies to both handle performance issues and to optimize opportunities
  • To assist in the roll out of new businesses and projects. Liaise and support on ad hoc projects. Participate in UAT sessions where needed
  • To be proactive in understanding the local and international competitive landscape, and online retail and Omni-Channel trends, and to take action to minimize any loss of Lane Crawford market share
     

Communication

  • To obtain relevant information -  delivery and point-of-sales - from CBO teams and ensure that content/products are uploaded in a timely manner
  • To coordinate with Editorial and Marketing in the calendar planning process, ensuring the right merchandise is featured at the right time
  • To collaborate with SNO/VPP to ensure product display consistency between online and offline
  • To work closely with Product Advisors and Product Copywriters to reflect most commonly asked questions and concerns in product writing to a) maximize product description and b) minimize unnecessary returns
  • To recommend tech improvements that enhance customer experience
  • To facilitate conversations amongst various departments for the BU/project roll outs to ensure that all parties are well informed

 

Relationship Management

  • To establish a strong network with all departments to ensure a smooth work relationship
  • To be one of the main contacts for CBOs on EBD related questions/processes
  • To be one of the go-to people for product related questions for various EBD teams (CS, Studio, Editorial, Online Marketing)
