Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


Public Relations

  • To help develop and execute PR and Communications strategy with Manager that maximizes key messages and brand positioning content including digital and social media strategies and plans
  • To work closely with CBO to plan the press calendar and press events in advance, ensuring maximum publicity and support
  • To liaise with Pedder Group Communications Marketing and PR team to synergize and complement our calendar with their program as well as needs pertaining to the Lane Crawford brand
  • To draft, edit and disseminate press releases and other relevant PR materials on a regular basis and responses for media inquiries in line with Lane Crawford brand positioning
  • To drive key fashion and lifestyle news & brand stories, secure product placement and seeding to support coverage across business units and/or key drivers/ brands
  • To monitor and report competitor activity and relevant industry trends, events and opportunities
  • To execute with marketing all special events for key guest and celebrity appearances, press coverage and post-event coverage
  • To supervise and ensure media list are updated
  • To offer store tours to visiting designers, media and influencers
  • To supervise and manage the organization of the media library and PR archives
  • To work with Manager to explore opportunities for sponsorship, including charity and fundraising events, as well as support internal communications where relevant


Marketing Communication

  • To supervise and coach marketing team member in charge to drive the planning and implementation of key designer and celebrity appearances
  • To take lead on PA event planning, liaise with various teams or departments from product curations to Sales & Service implementation
  • To liaise and discuss the program planning with vendor in line with Lane Crawford brand positioning
  • To standard key messages and copy among press, customer communication and in store signage for designer PA programs


Relationship Management

  • To build on existing and develop new relationships with regional and international press publications across long-lead and short-lead, mainstream media, trade, online and blogs in order to maximize media lineage opportunities
  • To develop relationships with complimentary PR agencies in order to maximize media opportunities
  • To synergize the relationships and activities between partners to ensure maximum exposure to press and customers
  • To build and engage with press departments of vendors to ensure the department gathers all relevant information and materials on key brands and products and to ensure information sharing with relevant parties
  • To identify and collaborate with appropriate celebrities and influencers for product endorsement and develop relationships in line with the Lane Crawford brand image


Financial Management

  • To plan and develop with Manager a comprehensive PR and Communications yearly budget meeting all needs for the department
  • To monitor the expenses of each program and ensure all financial and account procedures are followed through on an ongoing basis and meet budget requirements
  • To recognize business opportunities and be responsive to market conditions in order to maximize business and be competitive
