Job Purpose:            
“To perform cashiering functions at store level and assist in executing internal control functions for store operations”.

Key Accountabilities:
In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Daily Cashiering Operations

  • To handle the daily collection of sales proceeds from the sales operations
  • To provide the cashiering service, including distribution of POS terminal floats, partial uplift of cash, checking to POS credit card settlement reports, handover of cash takings from store frontline at day end closing, coins exchange, banking of cheque received from customers.
  • To investigate irregular sales transaction shown on exception reports and understand explanation and ensure proper authorization of such transactions
  • To prepare Cash Report including daily cash sales proceeds received and monies to be banked
  • To perform exchange of foreign currency bank note and traveler cheque with appointed foreign currency exchange agent daily
  • To set up credit card terminals and accessories for road show / trunk show events
  • To prepare and handover  LC Electronic Gift Card to corporate customers
  • To issue and sale of Gift Card at POS terminals
  • To process refunds for e-business transactions

  • To ensure that financial practices are sound and in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and prevailing legislation as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures
  • To maintain appropriate internal control safeguards on the Company’s assets
  • To ensure that people understand and are complying with the procedures and processes
  • To fully understand and be able to communicate our Omni-channel service to customers if needed

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working as cashier role in Retail operations and fashion industry, but not mandatory
  • Good knowledge of Sales Audit at frontline operations is a plus
  • Good Excel skills on daily POS/ Credit Card settlement
  • Candidates who are willing to cope with shift duties and based in stores
