Lane Crawford invites top talent to join.

This is an amazing opportunity for a highly curious and ambitious video content creator to join Asia’s leading fashion retail group, to put storytelling at the heart of our communications and showcase the exciting initiatives, programmes and people in our Group and four companies Lane Crawford, Joyce, Pedder Group and Imaginex, for internal and external audiences.


You will have the ability to create strategic content ranging from reporting of initiatives, to thought leadership pieces and impactful branding showcases, all with a fashion aesthetic aligned to who we are. You will be based in Hong Kong and travel regularly throughout Greater China and potentially further abroad to gather stories. You will report to the Strategic Communications Director of the Group and lead one videographer and foster a network of freelance to call upon. A translator in the strategic communications team will assist with sub-titling.


This role requires an interest in the fashion and retail industry, strong collaboration, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work across multiple lines of businesses at once.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Group strategic communications team on a 12-month rolling content calendar for strategic storytelling, placement and amplification, managing multiple projects at any given time
  • Work closely with internal teams to proactively identify story and branding opportunities across the Group and its four companies
  • Conceptualise, research, script, storyboard and determine the shot list for visual, text-based and podcast content
  • Direct on-staff and freelance videographers on shoots and through the editing process; coordinate on-staff translator.
  • Determine and manage motion and info graphic elements and other visual and audio devices to elevate visual storytelling
  • Amplify content through social channels, and collect and analyse viewer data to iterate content approach and improve storytelling for greater impact
  • Continue to elevate content as a craft, pushing the envelope with breakthrough ideas and to explore new content platforms for amplification

As a member of The Lane Crawford Joyce Group Strategic Communications team, you will work closely on content with:

  • The Chairman & CEO, The Lane Crawford Joyce Group
  • Presidents of Lane Crawford, Joyce, Pedder Group and Imaginex
  • Marketing and communications teams from each of the Group companies
  • Functional teams across the Companies



The ideal candidate will be a fun-loving team player who has:

  • A minimum 5 years relevant experience in content creation: editorial/broadcast journalism; content agency; online media etc.
  • A love of fashion and be highly curious about the fashion and retail business and industry and the people in it, keeping up to date with the latest news and movements.
  • A voracious appetite for content and be up to speed on new styles, techniques and platforms.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing buzzworthy content to generate viewership whilst understanding delivery requirements for publishing platforms. 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with excellent follow through and to quickly build relationships and connect with varied levels of management, peers and partners. 
  • Persuasive communication skills and has exceptional writing, editing and verbal skills. 
  • The ability to manage complex and fast-changing programme elements that require exceptional project management skills, and prioritise effectively.
