Job Purpose:

“To be responsible for staff payroll and book-keeping to Staff Provident Fund Account”

 

Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Payroll and Provident Fund Administration

  • To carry out payroll calculation for outgoing staff members including contract and temporary staff, sales commission, discretionary bonus and miscellaneous staff deductions/reimbursements within the statutory timelines
  • To maintain and update IPL payroll system on payroll details and prepare check &/or bank autopay/HSBCnet ACH payment on payment of payroll to be effected and remittance of tax and statutory contributions withheld to relevant local statutory organizations.
  • To prepare reconciliation of payroll accounts and summarize changes to monthly payroll with staff movement
  • To prepare MPF/CPF contribution lists/files and related payments on time and ensure compliance with relevant legislations
  • To prepare timely and accurate Employer Tax Returns 56B/56F/56G and other statutory Employer’s Returns in the region
  • To handle filing of payroll vouchers and related documents

 

Communication

  • Take initiative to highlight any matters of urgency and communicate this at the earliest possible opportunity to relevant people
  • To respond to and handle both internal and external customers in an efficient and polite manner
  • To work with HR on payroll issues
  • To fully understand and be able to communicate our Omni-channel service to customers if needed

 

Compliance and Business Integrity

  • To ensure that financial practices are sound and in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and prevailing legislation as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures
  • To ensure compliance of internal controls
  • To maintain appropriate internal control safeguards on the Company’s assets
  • To ensure that people understand and are complying with the procedures and processes

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience administrating payroll in retail companies
  • Familiar with MPF, final payment, leaves calculations
  • Good understanding of Hong Kong Labour Law relating to handling payroll
  • Experienced in front-line sales commission structure and calculation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or related discipline
  • Detail-minded and well-organized
  • Strong numerical sense with accuracy
  • Proficient in both written Chinese and English
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timeline
  • Candidates with immediate availability is highly preferred
