Job Purpose:              

‘To be responsible for supporting System Analyst or Application Lead to develop and support in-house or packaged application systems and to coach programmers and monitor their progress against agreed objectives”


Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


System Design

  • To be responsible for system module design
  • To conduct feasibility study and technical requirement study
  • To be responsible for system development
  • To be responsible for integrated testing (volume test, abnormal test and interface test) execution
  • To be responsible for System documentation draft and update
  • To be responsible for user training, system environment setup


IS Security

  • To ensure appropriate IT security measures are incorporated
  • To develop guidelines specific to LCJG when required
  • To ensure security policies are adhered to by all users and vendors and continually reviewed
  • To lead by example and take a strong position with regards to system security in terms of general access, e-mail and virus protection

  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • 5 years’ experience in PL SQL / MS SQL and stored procedure, preferably with experience in building / supporting ERP in retail industry
  • Familiar with Oracle Retail, EDI, Informatica, EBS, Siebel, WMS or BI is an advantage
  • Able to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skill
  • A good team player with great communication skill
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
